The policies listed below apply to ALL Tris4Health events.

Our Secured Start Line Policy
We appreciate you registering for a Tris4Health event. However, we know that sometimes life gets in the way, and things come up that prohibit you from being there on race day. At Tris4Health, we proudly offer our Secured Start Line Policy, which provides flexibility if you cannot attend a race you have registered for. Our goal is to get you to our start line and give you the best race experience possible, starting from the moment you sign up!

 

Refund Policy
Since many of our costs are incurred prior to race day and are non-refundable, we do not issue refunds for any reason*.​ Once you have registered for a race, if you can no longer attend for whatever reason, we offer you four options to ensure you get to that start line:

  • Deferring to the same race the following year.
  • Switching to another T4H event in the same calendar year.
  • Transferring your registration to another athlete.
  • Racing virtually (which means you complete the race on your own, and we will send you the participant shirt and medal).

*If you disagree with these options, please do not register for this event.

 

Withdrawal
In the event you wish to withdraw from the race, with the understanding that you will not be refunded, please get in touch with us before race day via email at: info@tris4health.com.

 

Waivers
Agreeing to the waivers and payment of your entry fee constitutes your acceptance of all Tris4Health and USAT policies.

 

Event Modifications / Cancellations
The race directors and USAT officials (if applicable) reserve the right to reschedule, modify, or cancel any or all portions of an event if weather conditions, water quality, or for any other reason that compromises athlete safety or makes the initially planned event impossible. There will be no refunds for rescheduled, modified, or canceled events.

 

Deferral
We offer athletes the opportunity to defer their registration, for free, to the following year’s event if you cannot attend. A deferral may only be used once and does not carry over after one year.

Claiming a Deferral

Please note:
RunSignUp will credit your account the dollar amount paid on your original registration. Due to price increases throughout the year, you may be asked to pay a balance based on current pricing. Our policy allows for 1-1 deferrals and you will not be charged the difference, providing you are racing the same event/distance. If you are asked to pay a price difference, please email us at: info@tris4health.com and we will help you to register for free.

Transfers to Another Participant
You may transfer your registration to another athlete up until packet pickup of the event. To initiate the process, you must enter your RunSignUp account and begin the transfer to the new participant using their name and email address. The new participant must complete the registration process to sign our waiver and enter their contact information. Participants who swap or sell their race number without completing the transfer properly will not be allowed to race in another Tris4Health event for two years and will be subject to disciplinary action by USAT (providing it is a USAT-sanctioned event).

Changing Events:
Tris4Health will allow you to change events up through the end of packet pickup. There are no refunds if transferring to a shorter-distance race or changing to a less expensive event. If you transfer to a longer distance, event, or relay, you must pay the difference between what you paid for your registration and the current price of the event you are transferring to.

Transfer to Another Tris4Health Event
If you are unable to attend a race you have registered for, you have the option of transferring to another Tris4Health event in the same calendar year. There are no refunds if transferring to a shorter-distance race or changing to a less expensive event. If you transfer to a longer distance, event, or relay, you must pay the difference between what you paid for your registration and the current price of the event you are transferring to.
